CULLEN, HARSH, MARSH, OSBORNE, SMITH, TODD, WALLACE posted by Katherine Jean Cullen Moseff on Tuesday, August 31, 2004

CULLEN: My father's name is Samuel Willis CULLEN b. Aug. 28, 1918 married to a woman named Francis till she died in 1974 with a son named Samuel Joseph CULLEN. Then married my mother-Carolyn Sue MARSH (she may have been going by the surname OSBORNE) in Oct of 1975 in Lima, Allen County. My three brothers and I were all born in Allen County. Katherine Jean CULLEN b. May 11, 1976; Harry Mack CULLEN b. Sep. 9, 1977; Samuel Willis CULLEN b. Sep. 4, 1978; and Arthur David CULLEN b. Sep. 6, 1979. My father died in May 1986 in Allen County, Lima, Ohio having never told us about his family. The oldest three of us were adopted out in 1988. I have found out that my father was one of ten children. One of his brothers, Thomas H. CULLEN b. Dec. 24, 1922-married to Dorothy Louise WALLACE, who died in 1973 in Allen County, Lima, Ohio--then he married a woman named Esther. She was a very large woman and she died of a quadruple heart attack but I am not sure when. She also died while they lived in Allen County, (I think they still lived in Lima also.) Then he married one of his sister-in-laws (or so I was told). Rose WALLACE who died in Lima about 1990. Uncle Tom passed away in 1986 also in Allen County. Both boys were born to a Samuel B. CULLEN and a Cora Mae TODD. I found this out from my father's birth certificate. The other children of Samuel and Cora are: Seth b. 1907 (married to a Bessie b. 1895 and they had a son named William around 1927), Adeline b.1909 (who was married to a Lawrence HARSH? according to the 1930 census), Gladys b. 1911 (who was married at sometime to a SMITH and they had a son named Robert who was born around 1928), Louis b. 1912, Sylvester b. 1920, Virginia b. 1921, Betty b. 1926, and Martha Jean b. 1929. According to the 1930 Census they lived in Allen County, Lima, Ohio. If there is any information that you would be able to help me with I would greatly appreciate it. I have been searching for the past 12 years and I keep hitting brick walls.

ODONNELL posted by Sharon More on Saturday, September 18, 2004

Michael ODONNELL. My Great Grandfather Michael O'Donnell was a resident of Allen County, Ohio in the 1860's to 1921. What I would like to find are the records of Baptisms that were performed at St. John's Evangelical Catholic Church. I am also looking for a death record for Catherine O'Donnell who died in 1882. I know that these records have been put to microfilm and I am searching for someone who has access to it. I am willing to pay a nominal fee, expenses, etc. This search would include: Michael b.1868; William b. 1870; James b. 1873; Rosa b. 1874; Alice b. 1878; Arthur b. 1880; Bell?; Rube?; These years are close approximations since them were assumed from census. If you can or know someone who may be interested please contact me.

GEIGER, STOLZENBACH posted by B. J. Geiger-Bowers on Sunday, October 31, 2004

GEIGER, STOLZENBACH; Allen Cty OH; 1880 - 1945. 1930 census: George F. GEIGER is a caretaker for apartments at 125 S Pierce. Renting an apartment is George A. GEIGER with wife of 3 yrs, Hazel, dau LaRue, 1 +, b. IL; son, Donald R., b. 1925. George A. is my grandfather. Donald R. was my father's full brother. Donald, who we knew of as "Roland",died WWII. . We were given his army photo. My brother has my father's copy and I have my grandmother's copy. Donald was raised by Mary STOLZENBACH, who lived across the street at 128 S Pierce in the 1930 census. I am very pleased to have verified this information. I am trying to determine the parentage of George A. and the connection if any, to George F., who I suspect is a cousin. George F.'s father was George E., born "At Sea"....anyone knowing his parentage, would be very helpful. I was unable to locte his obituary which was probably 1900 - 1910. Also I would appreciate any photos of DONALD R. GEIGER and the STOLZENBACHS. I have researched much of their family history in Lima hoping to find a GEIGER connection.
