I am seeking information on Albert Galstine GATTON and Emaline DEVOUR/DEVORE. Albert was born ca 1795, Emaline ca 1816. They were married 10 April 1852 in Auglaize County. They were enumerated on the 1860 federal census in Allen County, living in Acadia, Amanda Township. I believe Emaline may have been previously married to a man with the surname DEVORE since two daughters named Bashebq and Mercy DEVORE. Bashebq married William SUNDERLAND 7 Apr 1864. Children of Albert and Emaline: **S___ J___ b. ca 1853; **Cornelia b. ca 1855; **Margaret b. either 1858 or 1862, d. 1 Apr 1933, m. Andrew BAKER; **Albert b. 1859; In 1870 Emaline was found living in Spencerville, Amanda Township without Albert GATTON, but with her children and also four young children named Lena L. DENNISON, Inez E. SUNDERLAND, Charles A. DENNISON, and C___ Sunderland (female). This is the sum total I know about them, and it doesn't lead me to their parents. Thank you very much for any help.

Charles H. MECKLEY b.c.1867 and married to Diana Isabel BORTNER b.1862. They had son, Guy MECKLEY who married Brianna (?) and daughter Myrtle MECKLEY who married Harry HACKENBERGER. They lived in the Lima, OH area. John WORKMAN b.1831 and wife Julia b. 1850 lived in Spencerville Village. Richard E. WOLFE b. 1842 and wife Nancy C. b. 1858 lived in Lima, OH William WOLFE b.1883 and third wife Verba b.1891 had children Wilhemina b.1908 and Catherine b.1909.

I am looking for my relative from Allen County, Ohio, by the name of George CHRISTY. He was supposedly born in Ohio. I don't know his wife's name. His relatives are buried in Beaver Dam Cem. His daughter was Sarah CHRISTY-born 10/9/1855. He must be in one of the sensus records for 1850 or 1860. Does anyone know of this family? Sarah married Silas HART from Elida, Ohio. His father was Samuel HART, who married Poly SHOPE/SHOBE? Samuel and Poly are in the 1850 census, but have not found others. Hope you can help me.

In doing historical/geneological research I have come across the Native American name PHT. Who is this person and where can I find more information about him? I do know he had council house (long house) in Shawnee or Amanda Township.

Joseph FORD: I am researching the MOORE family and I'm looking for descendants of Joseph FORD and Isabella MOORE. They were married in Champaign Co., OH in 1844. They settled in section 2 of Marion Twp. in Allen Co., OH about 1854. They are listed in the census through 1880. They had the following children: Dora, John, Mary, James, Anna, Thomas, Edward, Frank, Alice, Maly and Ollie.
