BECKMAN, JOLLY, JOLY posted by Diana Joly on Tuesday, April 8, 2003

I am looking for some info on Bernardina BECKMAN, supposedly born in Ohio around 1862. She married in Lawrence County TN in 1880 and then moved back to Ohio, Miami County to live with her husband for a short time before retutning to TN. They are listed in the 1880 census as Leon and Delia JOLLY (actual spelling is JOLY). I have been given the reference that this was her nick name or middle name. I have no idea as to her parents are, but the only Beckmans listed in the 1850 census are in Allen County. Any one who has any info please help.

FREEMAN posted by Ann Gebhardt on Sunday, May 4, 2003

Researcher is offering to sell a book titled "New World Health Series" Primer of Hygiene, Book 1; copyright 1917, but a date of 1919 written. On the back inside cover Roland FREEMAN, Spencerville, Ohio, Feb. 7, 1922. Also he did a drawing of a person on one page. Looking for a person that would be interested in this book, a direct relative who might want a keepsake because of the signature and drawing. The age level of the book (I'm guessing) is grades 5 - 8. The book was purchased in Dayton during the early 1970's. A reimbursement charge of $10 which would include the mailing of the book to someone interested.
