Elspy WATT was married to John ROBERTSON on June l4, l82l, Champaign County Ohio. They came to Allen County with other family members shortly thereafter, probably settled at or near Lafayette. They are buried Ward Cemetery or at least Elspy is. Does anyone know of this marriage, any children, etc.

Lydia Fury, 1818 in Marienville, Forest Co., PA)of Columbia Co, Miflin Twp PA, as found in 1820, 1830 and 1840 Census. Moved to Allen Co. and Auglaize Co. Ohio in early 1840's and Jacob d. about 1848. Children: Sarah, (m William Unger), Charles (b. 1819, m. Martha Schlicker, stayed in PA 1850, 60, 70, 80 Census all in Mifflin Twp.), Stephen, (b.1822, my gggfather, m. Anna Conner, 1845, in Lima, Allen Co. OH), George (b. 1824, m. Mary Tam, 1845 in Allen Co, OH), Mary Ann (b. 1825, m. Peter Nungesser, Auglaize Co. OH), Hiram (b. 1827, m Sophonia Kent, 1848, in Auglaize Co, OH), Francis B. (b. 1829 m. Uriah Burden, 1850, in Auglaize Co, OH), William B. (b. 1831, m Lydia Hester, 1851, in Auglaize Co., OH), Horace (b. 1833, m. Catherine ?, and moved to Philadelphia), Amanda (b. 1834, m. Benjamin Franklin Mertz, 1857), Washington (b. 1837, m. Nancy ?, ?), and Elizabeth (b. 1837, m.Alexander Glenn Seaman, 1859). Stephen and several of his brothers and sisters moved to Tama Co IA in the 1850's. We are particularly interested in any information on the ancestors and siblings of Jacob and Lydia as well as on descendants of Stephen's siblings. We have considerable information on Stephen's line to share, as well as some information on his siblings. SHIPPY; I am looking for any information on Robert SHIPPY who married Susanah (Susanna?) ROOP (born 8/30/1829 - Richland OHIO) , in Allen Co, OHIO in 1848. Also, any birth records of their children--Robert J. SHIPPY and Rachel SHIPPY. Susanah was the daughter of Frederick ROOP and Elizabeth CLAYTON who were married in Mansfield, OHIO, 1825.

Beginning research on SHANER family. I (Ray Elmer Shaner) was born in Allen county 1943 in Lima at St Ritas Hospital. My father Henry Alexander SHANER born:1911 Somerset OH died 1978 in Florida buried in Allen County (Lima-Memorial cemetery His father Ray SHANER died about 1947 in Allen County (Lima) buried in cemetery West of Lima could be past Delphos along major state route. Was married to Hazel CONKLE. They had 5 children. Henry A., Hobart, Arthur, Gerald, Mary Any help with this would be appreciated. I have tried to query other family members and no one knows when grandfather was born or where. I might be able to get name of cemetery. SANDIFER- Harris. Was born in SC abt 1895. Father was Benj. Franklin SANDIFER and mother was Alice Henrietta Arledge SANDIFER. He had following siblings: Della, Julie Gertrude "Gertie" married Owen Riley HIGHTOWER, Manor, Monnie A., and Ada Pauline married REL HIGHTOWER. Gertie and Pauline's families were from Denmark, SC. Uncle Monnie and Harris (Uncle Monk) moved to Ohio. Harris lived in Lima OH until his death. (unk) Would love to find out about these 2 brothers of my grandmother - Pauline.

Jacob ALLISON/Allen Co. 1850-1880** Looking for information - birth/death dates places, parents. Jacob was my great grandfather. He had a son, Charles R. Allison (my grandfather)- born in Lima, Oh April 27, 1876. He also had 4 daughters, Maude, Armitta, Grace, and Clara. Jacob's wife was Sarah Emma Hoyt. I'm also looking for information on her (her father's name). My grandfather grew up just north of Lima (Perry Twp. I think), and lived in Lima the rest of his life. I have some old family documents refering to an Allison family in Washington Co., PA. I can't make the connection to the Pa. Allisons yet. I think Jacob may have come from Pa.

I know that my g.g.g grandfather Samuel ROCKHILL settled Rockport in Allen County and he was a county commissioner. He came from NJ and was Married to a Mary PEACOCK who was also born in NJ. Their son John Rockhill was born in N, J. They all are buried in The Rockport Methodist cemetery. John married a Permilla Swick. Their son married Elizabeth BAILEY. I know her parents were George Bailey and Elizabeth KIRKAOFF. From Augusta County Va. Who were the parents of Samuel and Mary? Who were the parents of Permilla SWICK? Who were the parents Of George and Elizabeth? I have lots of information on some of the Rockhills in Allen County.

BODELL, Samuel m. to Alta WOOP. Samuel was born approx 1850-1860 and had at least one son, Jesse Henry BODELL. Jesse was born in Allen County on May 10, 1885. A will for Samuel Bodell was filed in Allen County.

Robert Walter GRACELY b.20 APR 1919 married to Virginia Marie ZAHN b.28 Sep1921 in Lima to Joseph and Mercedes (BRODBECK) Zahn, m. 5AUG1945. They had a son, Larry Allen GRACELY b.26APR1947. A distant relative thought he was killed in Vietnam. This family is the last in a branch and any information that you may have will be greatly appreciated. Seeking information on Roy Slyvester HINTON (B. ABT. 1900). He married Florence STONER (b. 29 May 1898 d. Dec. 1976). Their children were Stanley Eugene, Kenneth, Dorothy, Barbara, and Betty Hinton. Stanley Eugene HINTON was born in Lima, Allen County, April 11, 1921. Also looking for information on John Thomas Callaghan (Callahan) son of Sylvester Callaghan of Putnam County. John Thomas married Grace Hamilton daughter of James and Florence Hamilton. They were the parents of Helen Marie (d. 1923), Herbert, and Robert Callahan. I believe sometime John Thomas was the individual who dropped the "g" in Callaghan. I would appreciate any information available.

MOORE,Harry Metheany born 11/20/1868 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio. I am trying to locate information on his parents. It is believed that METHEANY is perhaps maiden name. He married Kathryn BELL on June 5, 1895 in Lima. I do not have clear information on her parents either. This information was obtained from a family bible which has some BELLs listed, but the relationships are not specified: William C. BELL born 11/24/1870 in Lima, Lizzy BELL born 12/30/1863 in Lima, and a _ittie A. Bell born 9/12/1872 also in Lima. I am looking for information on either of these families.
