Have Civil War pension papers of Carson MOWEN. Papers list wife as Sarah C. BARTLETT. They married 17 Mar 1864 in Lima, Allen Co., Ohio by Rev. E. Williams. Children were Ida M. b. 20 June 1865 in Lima; Cassie G. b. 30 Oct 1866 in Lima; and John W. b. 20th Dec 1868 in Lima. Carson died 11 Oct 1875 in Lima. Who were his parents? Is his son John living in the Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home in Greene Co. in 1880? Thanks for any information.

PEASE, Cornelius - gggrandfather and family living in Delphos, Allen Co.Ohio abt 1882. He was a contract lumberman and also a railroad tie maker. Interested in knowing what resources available to search for him in regards to history of Black Swamp area and railroads in an around Delphos and Marian twp during the 1880's to 1890's

Seeking information on great grandparents John MOES, died around 1931 in Allen County, Lima, Ohio. Married Anna GOEDDE, she died around 1944 in Allen County, Lima, Ohio. I believe they are both buried in Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery. They had five children: Teresa Margaret (ALLENBAUGH) on May 10, 1907, David (wife Eunice, both deceased), Vincent (deceased), Isadore ( wife Maxine both deceased) and Charles (deceased). Also a step child Olga, married name Shorts of California. Some of John MOES siblings are Frank Moes, Teresa, and Mary. Some of Anne GOEDDE Moes siblings are Felix Goedde (moved to California), Joseph Goedde, Hildegarde, Mary (QUINN), Helen Agnes ( she was a Nun). John and Anna's parents lived in and around Lima. I believe Anna's mother died in Toledo, Ohio, but was buried in Lima. I will appreciate any information about the MOES and GOEDDE families. Thank you,

STONE, John Marion 1862 - Breathitt Co., Ky, d.1929 Mcguffey, Allen CO., Ohio. Grampa was married to Viola SMITH - Breathitt Co., KY. They had my dad Fred W., (who left when I was 3), Cecil, Dolly - married to Coy CLIFTON - both are deceased and buried in Preston Cemetery in Alger. Am desperately searching for the only surviving child Aunt Connie who was married to Fey ALLEN. I have called most of the Connie Allens in Ohio with no luck. Viola left after John's death and moved to Lima where she married a Wilson Herbert MINOR. This is all the info I have, except I do have death cert. for Viola AND John, and my dad. Would love to know when John and Viola got married. I know they were in ohio by 1920 census.
