William SAYRE; DOB: 1767, Salem County, New Jersey Wife: Amy EVANS; Occupation: Blacksmith. I want to determine if the above person, who I believe moved to Ohio to be close to his two brothers, Reuel in Perry County and Joseph in Clark County, lived and/or died in Allen County. I am trying to locate Jacob MILLER b: abt. 1777 died 1849 and his wife Elizabeth. They had the following children: Samuel, Susan, Sarah, John, Jesse(Jessie) my line, Silas, Jacob, Elijah and Issac. I recently visited Allen County to do some research and found a Jacob MILLER born 08-11-1777 and buried in Salem Cemetery. Does anyone have any info as to if this is the Jacob MILLER that I have spent 8 years looking for? Also, in the 1850 census, several of his children and him and his wife are not listed, I show them passing away in 1849. I am wondering if there is a mass grave somewhere with many of the people of Allen Co. who may have contacted some disease such as the Black Swamp fever. If anyone can help out. Thank you in advance.

I am researching the family of Martin GAZETTE from Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. His son, Charles Martin GAZETTE, moved to, lived and died in Bluffton, Ohio. Charles was the brother of my grandmother. Charles Martin GAZETTE 12 May 1883 - 7 Jul 1946 It appears Charles married Vernie TRIMBLE of Indiana, PA, on Aprl 11, 1906, as per the Indiana County Gazette of that date (page 2, column 2). They had at least one child, Anna Bess, as per the census. Currently I am interested in an obituary to verify the death of Charles M. GAZETTE. This should hopefully reveal surviving members of his family. Please note that I read the obituary of Mrs Charles GAZETTE in the April 19, 1926 Lima News and Times-Democrat (page 4, column 3). This appears to be Lucida GAZETTE, wife of Charles and mother of Charlien. However, future articles in the Lima paper mention Vernie GAZETTE with Charles GAZETTE. I am not certain at this point if there were two people named Charles GAZETTE living in the area or if Charles was married twice. Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide with this research.

Looking for any information on my Grandmother K or Catherine COLE born 18 Oct 1881 or 1882 to E. P COLE & Hattie GILL in Lima, Allen County, Ohio. Catherine died July 24, 1929 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. The spelling of her first name on the death certificate is Cathryn. All the information I do have on my Grandmother her first name is spelt about 5 different ways. I do know she had a brother who was named Ford COLE, born May 1878 and died in Lima, Allen County 16 Jan 1930. Any information you have on the family would be greatly appreicated.
