SUNDERLAND/FAIR Daniel SUNDERLAND and Patsy (FAIR) are in Marion Twp, Allen Co, in the 1840 Census. They have 1 daughter and 3 son's at that time. We cannot find them in the 1850 Census, but Patsy is named in her father's Will, in 1860. Need to be able to locate a death record for her, to verify her place of birth, and mother.Both Daniel and Patsy, born ca 1810.

I am researching my ROBINSON and CAREY family lines. Eliza and Avery Carey lived in Allen County between 1850-1901. Eliza Ann Skinner Carey, died, according to my records 3/9/1880 and is buried in the Hartford Cemetery. Avery Carey died in 1901 and is also buried in the Hartford Cemetery. I am also looking for information on William and Isabell Belle Carey Robinson, who I believe were married there and lived there for a time. In the obituary I have for Isabell, who died in Shepherd, Michigan, Nov. 13, 1916. According to her obituary, she united with the Christian Church at Hartford, Ohio in the 1890's.

Occupation:Cigar worker.Married CLIFFORD FREDERICK THOMPSON, August 2,1917 in Cleveland,Ohio.Margaret died May 1970. The Kennedy/Kenedy family had three living children, WILLIAM KENNEDY/KENEDY and HELEN KENNEDY/KENEDY. William never married. Helen married CLIFFORD DEVRD CUNNINGHAM (no year known at this time), she also married COS RIKER after Clifford died in her later years. The Kennedy family moved to Lima and Berea, Cuyahoga Cty.

George W. KOLLARS, or KOLLAR, married Ellen BAKER (b-7/10/1837 d-1/1906) in Allen Co, OH. (Ellen's parents were John and Arzilla (MINNIS) BAKER.) Believe George died before 1868. Their children could include George W., Joseph, Henry, and Charles. Requesting dates and confirmed children for this family.

William THOMPSON age 68, born in VA. ** Joshua, age 24 ** Charlotte, age 20 ** Eliza, age 22 ** William, age 31 ** This THOMPSON family is living right next door to William and Rebecca (Thompson) FAIR, and I am trying to find out if Rebecca, is a daughter to "this" William Thompson.

Researching Sarah Catherine (or Ann) MCCLURE who married 8 Sep 1842, in Allen Co., Ohio, to Reuben C. WALTON, son of Joseph WALTON an early settler of Allen Co., Ohio. Some sources say that Reuben C. WALTON married (2)Sarah Ann MCCLURE, b. 1818 in Champaign Co., OH who was the daughter of Samuel MCCLURE, and the older sister of Moses MCCLURE, who was known to be the first white child born in Allen county. Other sources say that Reuben C. WALTON married (same date and place as above) Sarah Catherine MCCLURE, b. 29 Dec 1827, Champaign Co., OH and her parents are unknown. Sarah WALTON is shown to be 23 years of age on the 1850 US census, which would agree with the 1827 year of birth. Earnestly seaking information as to which Sarah MCCLURE (Sarah Ann or Sarah Catherine) married Reuben C. WALTON, or if they are the same person, and one of the birthdates are in error; and if Sarah was actually the daughter of Samuel MCCLURE or not. Will happily exchange information with researchers of these families.

I am seaching for descendants of William and Catherine (JACOB) PATTON. William was the son of John and Racheal (CLAWSON) PATTON, and Catherine was the Daughter of Jacques Joseph and Anna Barbara (BOLEY) JACOB. They were married in Tiffin, Ohio on April 20, 1867. They had the following children, Phillip Newton, Sarah Jane, Mary Susan, Louis Andrew, Albert B., Frank P., Grover Cleveland, John, and Robert Edward. William and Catherine are both buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Delphos, Allen County, Ohio. I am a descendant of Catherines brother Peter Jacob of Defiance, and I am trying to put together an extended tree. I would also like to find a Photograph of William and Catherine. I have lots to share.

F.H. DOWNING wrote 2 letters dated 1934 & 1935 to my grandmother Sarah. He was a Lima, Allen County, Ohio attorney. Not sure of F.H.'s gender, birthdate or death. F.H.'s father is Isaac DOWNING to Hugh DOWNING as "uncle." His grandfather may be Isaac VANMETER. I am looking to verify Hugh's brother as Adam. F.H. lived with a person named Bob which leads me to believe F.H. is either a woman or an unmarried man with a close and/or long-term houseguest, Bob. Bob could be a cousin or brother. F.H. also mentions a sister who (with her husband) owned ranches in Colorado and live in California. Other surnames mentioned in the letters are YANT, BOWERSOX and VanMETER.

Eli DELONG, born 1818 Ross county, married Susan DODSON Allen county 1845, she was born July 1822. His father was Jacob DELONG, married to Catherine MOWERY. Eli DELONG and Catherine DELONG both died in Auglaize county 1871 and 1870. I'm trying to find more information on their ancestors. Sarah Catherine DeLong is my ancestor.

My great great grandfather James HECOX(HEACOX HEACOCK) purchased land from Daniel Spilter in 1845 in Allen County near the Auglaize County border. HECOX was born in 1829 so he was only 17 when he purchased the land. On Ohio 1850 census, Shawnee Township HECOX is listed with the family of Benjamin Hall. HECOX had property worth $1000. I believe Benjamin Hall's father was Jacob Hall all from Shawnee Co. James HECOX married Hannah Chamberlain in Lima, Ohio in 1851. They had twins Ransom and Julia in 1852. I believe that Hannah Chamberlain Hecox mother and father were Noah and Juliana Chamberlain. Noah Chamberlain died before 1844 but after 1837. Juliana Chamberlain remarried a William Brooks. Hannah Chamberlain Hecox had brothers and sister: Noah Jr. Henry, Samuel, and Marguerite. I believe that James HECOX was born in New York. He had to have relatives in Ohio to come there. He also had $55 in 1845 to purchase land. Maybe he was related to Hall's? I am looking for any connection to HECOX, CHAMBERLAIN, OR HALL. James and Hannah HECOX moved to Iowa in 1854. Maybe I still have relatives in Ohio? I am a first time genealogist. Please Help If You Can. I will be happy to share any information.
