Seeking information on Mrs. John EVANS of Lima, OH living there at least in 1925. She was mentioned in the 1925 obituary of my great grandfather James W. LEWIS of Scranton, PA, also mentioning two of her brothers,William and Evan of Scranton. According to the obituary James came from South Wales, as I assume the brothers and sister.

Seeking information about Lemuel (a.k.a. Pilford) and Mary (HUDSON) LYNCH. Lemuel was born abt. 1794 in MD. He died in 1863 in Tippecanoe Co., IN. Mary was born abt. 1805 in MD and died abt. 1882 in Tippecanoe Co., IN. They had 11 children, 6 survived to adulthood, 2 have been identified - Thomas (b. 1836, Lima, OH, m. Carolyn EMMERT), Mary (b. 1838, Lima, OH, m. Joseph DOUGHTY and Moses F. WILSON). The LYNCH family moved to Tippecanoe Co., IN in the early 1860s.

Seeking information about Thomas H. and Carolyn (EMMERT) LYNCH. Thomas was the son of Lemuel and Mary (HUDSON) LYNCH. Carolyn's parents are unknown. Thomas was born 4 Oct 1836 in/near Lima, Allen Co., OH. Carolyn was born abt. 1853 in/near Lima, Allen Co., OH. By the late 1860s, they had moved to Tippecanoe Co., IN where their first child was born 22 Jun 1870. It is unknown whether they were married in Allen Co. or Tippecanoe Co.

Seek any and all info on Johann LANG of Schirrhoffen, Alsace, Bas-Rhin, France who married Anna Maria HOUCK of Mosbraun, Baden Germany. They immigrated to Delphos in 1846 where Johann was a shoemaker. He died there in 1857.

Seek information on the LANG families, originally of Schirrhein or Schirrhoffen, Alsace, Bas Rhin, France. Michael LANG married Margaretha SCHMIDTS and came to Allen County about 1854. Anthony LANG, born about 1814, married Maria Anna Lux of Schirrhoffen and immigrated to Stark County, Ohio in about 1838. They moved to Delphos in Allen County in 1855. Have extensive family history of their ancestors to swap for info.

My Great Great Grandfather, Jacob Van Wye HERRING, was born in Lima, Ohio, Allen County in August, 1847, to David and Susannah VANWYE HERRING. David and Susannah were married August 1, 1841 in Allen County. I am trying to find information on who David's parents were. Also, I would like info on Susannah, whose parents were Jacob and Nancy VAN WYE. I know that David and Susannah started west with some of their family around 1867. David died somewhere in Illinois, I don't know what happeded to Susannah after he died. I sure could use some help with this family. Jacob Van Wye HERRING served with the 12th Ohio Regiment Company G. He was only 16. I do have a picture of him in his uniform.

Evelyn Bible's parents were Leo and Clara also from the Allen county area. Also looking for information on Carl Stauffer jr. born March 15 1961 parents Carl william Stauffer Sr and Irene Martin they are from the Hancock cty area.

I am researching members of the OZIAS FAULKNER family who may have resided in Allen County during the 1840s. I believe he married Matilda BRACKNEY in November 1835. His children were William (b. 1839); Nelson (b. 1843); Sarah (b. 1846; and Elijah B. (b. 1848). In October 1841 and April 1842, Ozias bought land from William and Elizabeth Baughman in Allen County. He next turns up in Auglaize County selling property to John McConnell in March 1849 and John F. Niel in February 1851. In January 1850, Ozias married Elisabeth ARTHUR in Auglaize county. To this marriage was born Jane (1852), Lucinda (1858) and Isaac (1858).

He is listed as being born in Allen County on the birth certificate of his son, Basil Eugene MEEKS (12/30/1916). At that time his place of residence was 907 1/2 So. Main Street, Lima Ohio. His ocupation at the time was Boiler Maker. He wifes' name was Olive KENNEDY. Charles move to Detroit, MI later in his life. His nickname was Whitey. Seek information on Archibald Nelson VALENTINE (1815-1897), and his spouse Margaret CLUM (1817-1886), who lived in Auglaize Township until 1866. They had moved from Perry County in approximately 1842. They reared ten children: Mary Jane, George Washington, Catherine Ellen, Aaron, William, Samuel Clum, James Ryan, Hannah Elizabeth, Anna Margaret, and Wilbert Nelson. Three sons, George W., Aaron, and William served in the Civil War. At the end of the War the family moved to Michigan.

I am looking for information about Levi Tobias MOORE, that was born Dec. 1, in the later 1890's. He died in December of 1978. Levi has connections to the Elida/Lima area, as well as Delphos Ohio, and some part of Indiana. He was raised a Mennonite and his mother is buried in the cemetary across from the Mennonite church in Elida. I believe the church is Salem Mennonite Church though I am not positive, it just sounds familiar. Levi had a brother named Enos, and they both were in WW1. He also had two sisters I believe, and their names were Viola and Emma. Thank you!

Need any information on Alpheus Jerome MILLER and his wife Mary Ann WISE. Alpheus probably was born ca 1821 in Va. Do not know what county nor his parents. They were married in Rockingham Co., Va. in 1853. In 1860 they are in Rockingham Co. Census with Children John, age 11, James, age 6, William, age 3, George W., age 1/12. I find them in Allen Co. in 1880 census , Shawnee Twp, with children George age 20, Ida, age 16, Elizabeth, age 13. Also living with them was Elias BOWSHER, age 21, Frank BOWSHER, age 19. In John Calvin Miller's obit in 1911, there are listed brothers James in Allen Co., Frank in Muncie, Ind, and George in Pa. Can anyone tell me what happened to Alpheus and Mary Ann. Any any information on Frank and George would be greatly appreciated. I am a Descendant of John Calvin.
