HOLDRIDGE, SISSON, YEAGER posted by Zoe Nawrocik on Saturday, November 17, 2007

Frances J. SISSON HOLDRIDGE YEAGER (Yager) She was born to Charles and Lovina SISSON in Pennsylvania on August 13, 1845. Her family moved to OH in 1849. She married Charles Holdridge in 1868 and had a daughter, Nellie Holdridge in 1869. (How this marriage ended, I do not know.) She married Charles F. Yeager about 1876 and had a daughter, Hattie Adelia (Anna) Yeager on September 10, 1877. Frances (aka Fannie) died April 22, 1880 in their home on Pearl Street in Lima. She's buried in Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, OH. I DESPERATELY need to find a death record or some record that the cemetery will accept, because they have her as a MALE. All the funeral homes that were in Lima in 1880 are gone. I'm hoping someone has a funeral card or newspaper clipping or some proof so I can make this right.

BECHTOL, MOYER, WILKINSON posted by Tara C. Farris on Friday, August 8, 2008

WILKINSON, Elijah little to nothing is known of this man. His daughter was Margaret Jane WILKINSON, born June 12th, 1850 in Allen County, Ohio. Margaret’s mother was Mary BECHTOL, born March 17, 1826 in Indiana County, PA. The only thing I know of her mother is that she was one of 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls and that her sister Elizabeth (BECHTOL) MOYER, born September 11, 1830 came to Iowa with Mary. Both sisters married MOYERs, Mary married Philip MOYER in 1868 in Linn County, IA and Elizabeth married Philip’s brother Daniel. According to Elizabeth’s obituary, she and her parents moved to Marion County, Ohio when she was 16 years old. She married Daniel MOYER on September 18, 1853. They left for Iowa on September 23, 1853. According to records, Margaret moved to Iowa at the age of 6 years with her mother, but unknown if father came or had already passed away. I would like to find information on Elijah WILKINSON, and possibly his wife and daughter. I hope that the little information I have proves useful.

LITZENBERGER, NELSON, SAWMILLER posted by Suzanna Wells on Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Amy LITZENBERGER born about 1902, d/o Amos LITZENBERGER and Nellie Gertrude McGARY. Is this Amy the same one who was getting a divorce from Howard NELSON (mar May 1922) in Lima News 2 Nov 1923? In 1927 and 1942, this Amy was married to George Goodfellow. One world tree on Ancestry showed an Amy married 13 Sep 1919 Lima Clarence SAWMILLER (his 2nd wife was Doris Murl Wooley). Others showd only Wooley as wife for Sawmiller. Trees show Howard Arthur Nelson only married to Mildred Mason. Marriage applications and divorce records for Amy Litzenberger might show more info on parents of both, birthdays, dates of marriage or divorce--how can I get copies of these?
