CIRA; Allen Co., Ohio, USA; 1894-1965. I'm looking for information about my great-grandfather, William S. CIRA. He died in Lima, OH in the mid 1960's. We think he was in his early 70's then. My grandfather, Joe CIRA, was one of three of his sons, born in Lima, OH about 1917. I'm interested in finding William CIRA’s wife and parents.

I'm inquiring about my mother's family, resided in Lima, OH (we think) about 1870's to 1920's. My grandfather was James Blaine KNOX, eldest of some 7 to 9 siblings, born about 1880. His father was with the Swift & Co., a VP we think. James' younger brother was Paul KNOX, don't know about other siblings. Looking for birth info to then get the father/mother names and possibly where they came from. Any other info would be a big help.

HOLLAND, Thomas and his wife Lorena (CAHILL) reportedly migrated to Ohio shortly before 1800 and raised their family in Fayette and possibly Allen county, Ohio. They later migrated to Iowa for a short time and returned to Ohio sometime after the 1850 census, settling in Allen county. It is believed they died and are buried in Allen county. Does anyone have information concerning these two in Allen county, such as an obit, WIll and/or probate, land record, death record, burial location? Also, it was indicated that one of their sons, Barton A. HOLLAND was baptised and possibly born in Allen county. Confirmation of this would also be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hiram PROTSMAN 1820 PA - 1888 Allen Co OH. Married Allen Co 1844. My 2nd great grandfather also had roots in Wayne Co OH, via parents, and 2nd wife from Wayne. First son Alonzo born there ~1845.

I am seeking information about Benjamin DENNIS who lived in the Allentown area. He was married to Martha A. and they had five children Sarah Alice (who was my maternal great grandmother and was married to James COLLINS), George W., FRANKLIN, Mary and William. In an October 1880 article of the Allen Co Democrat Benjamin was the guest of honor at a surprise 61st birthday party. I am unable to find any other reference to him in death notices, etc. Martha died January 1, 1893 in Allentown. Any information about Benjamin or Martha would be greatly appreciated.
